Lufkin… Our golfers ‘trump’ the rest.  That’s because their entry fees help more than 25 nonprofits across the region serve the needs of the hurting. The bi-annual Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament took place on Monday, September 23rd at Lufkin’s Crown Colony Country Club. More than 250 golfers represented 150 brands teed off on Monday for a good cause. Funds generated from the tournament fuel the foundation - a 501(c) 3 that distributed more than $130,000 in grants back in January 2019 across its footprint.
