Brookshire Brothers Unveils New Lago Vista Store with Grand Opening
Brookshire Brothers officially opened the doors to their newest grocery store – the first of its kind in Travis County.
The 41,000-square-foot store is located at 8087 Bronco Lane in the sprawling hills of Lago Vista.
Brookshire Brothers assumed the lease of a large vacant retail space in the Lago Vista Village Shopping Center on April 1, 2022 and construction began that summer. A little more than a year later, the company celebrated its Grand Opening alongside community members with free samples, giveaways and a ribbon cutting ceremony with the North Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce.
“It’s been an incredible day. The communities of Lago Vista, Jonestown and Point Venture have welcomed us with open arms,” said Brookshire Brothers Public Relations Manager Melissa Crager. “We can’t wait to begin integrating into these gorgeous communities and learning additional ways that we can serve our new neighbors.”
The store features many of Brookshire Brothers’ signature features and key service lines, including an in-store pharmacy, full-service bakery and expanded hot deli, fresh meat market and Brookshire Brothers Anywhere, the company’s premier grocery delivery and curbside pickup service.
With an existing footprint of stores that stretch from western Louisiana to the Texas Hill Country, this will be the company’s first grocery store in Travis County.
“For several years we’ve received comments from residents requesting that we consider opening a store in Lago Vista and are now very pleased that everything has aligned to make this a reality,” said Brookshire Brothers President & CEO John Alston. “We look forward to providing the Lago Vista community and the surrounding areas with the quality products and exceptional service that our customers throughout Texas and Louisiana have come to expect.”
The 100% employee-owned franchise celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2021. With nearly 6,000 employee owners, Brookshire Brothers currently operates 114 grocery and convenience stores, 72 pharmacies and 87 fueling stations.
