Lufkin, TX (November 2019) – Brookshire Brothers threw open the doors of its newest store before dawn on Wednesday, November 13th in Buna, Texas. The store on Highway 96 was built from the ground up to accommodate a wider variety of fresh and ready to eat offerings as well as a full service pharmacy and tobacco barn. Brookshire Brothers has had a presence in Buna for the past decade and has had a brand new store in the plans for a number of years.
At 10 o’clock, the Buna High School band started playing, the cheerleaders cheered and The Chamber officially cut the ribbon opening the new Brookshire Brothers store. The employee-owned company, known for its commitment to community, presented the Buna Volunteer Fire Department with a check to extend its work and invited customers to help it help The Helping Place with Brown Bags of Hope. The bags are filled with food staples, hygiene items and school supplies for those neighbors in need.
Shoppers had the chance to spin the prize wheel and enter to win prizes that will be given away next week. On Saturday and Sunday hunters can take part in the Bucks for Bucks event at the store. There will be prizes for both adults and youth who bring in their bucks and does for a photo opportunity.
The friendly faces that currently serve you will be doing so in the expanded store, fuel island and tobacco barn. With the new store comes additional personnel to better serve the community.
Brookshire Brothers’ signature hot deli and easy eats are well known across the region as are the certified meat cutters who make specialty cuts for their customers. Brookshire Brothers is a company of employee owners who are good people, providing good food, and doing good deeds in the communities it serves.
