Cranberry and Ginger Pear Pie

Ingredients

  • Two 9-inch Food Club Premade Pie Doughs
  • 6 Large pears, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 Cups of fresh cranberries, whole
  • 1 Cup of Food Club Granulated Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons of Food Club Corn Starch
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Food Club Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 Tablespoon of orange zest
  • Juice from 1/2 small orange
  • 1 Large Fresh Harvest Egg
  • 1 Tablespoon of Fresh Harvest Milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add one pie dough circle to the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. In a separate large bowl, combine pears, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, orange zest, and orange juice. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Pour into pie pan and top with remaining pie dough circle, making a pattern or leaving as is.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk egg and milk together, and brush over top pie crust. Bake pie for 60-75 minutes, or until golden brown and fruit is bubbling.
