Cranberry and Ginger Pear Pie
Ingredients
- Two 9-inch Food Club Premade Pie Doughs
- 6 Large pears, thinly sliced
- 1 1/2 Cups of fresh cranberries, whole
- 1 Cup of Food Club Granulated Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons of Food Club Corn Starch
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Food Club Salt
- 1 Tablespoon of ginger, grated
- 1 Tablespoon of orange zest
- Juice from 1/2 small orange
- 1 Large Fresh Harvest Egg
- 1 Tablespoon of Fresh Harvest Milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add one pie dough circle to the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan.
- In a separate large bowl, combine pears, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, orange zest, and orange juice. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Pour into pie pan and top with remaining pie dough circle, making a pattern or leaving as is.
- In a small bowl, whisk egg and milk together, and brush over top pie crust. Bake pie for 60-75 minutes, or until golden brown and fruit is bubbling.
